I have some engine repairs to do this weekend. Replacing the coil, rotor, fuel pressure regulator, and some emissions bits in attempt to improve running condition.
Plans are to start working on the tailgate. I have the aluminum cover removed and scrapped - I prefer the bare tailgate with the embossed "FORD" visible. Unfortunately, the aluminum panel mounted through many holes in the tailgate that will need to be filled. It also has a fair number of dents to be worked out.
Received some patch panels today for the bed side wheel arches. Probably won't get to those until after Easter.
Intro
This blog is to store photos and document the rebuild of our '87 Ford Ranger.
Bought the truck last year. Over the winter, I did some engine repairs including replacing a cracked head, and swapped out the automatic for a manual out of an Explorer.
These pics are basically how we got it. It came with a black light bar which I removed, and homebuilt tailgate (also removed).
These pics show the dented but otherwise solid replacement tailgate from Pull-A-Part.
I have since replaced the front and rear bumpers and the dented left fender along with the grille.
